Once again, Addison here to fill you in on my experiences and research as well as adding my own personal story/review to the many P90X women reviews out there on the web. I hope you have been following my blog about the P90X workout system and I hope you’ve been able to do your own research along with reading my blog.

I’ve gone over a lot of material about P90X in all my previous blogs so I thought that I’d give my own personal review of how P90X has been working out with me so far. I’ve only been using P90X for about a week, week and a half but I’ve been very happy with it so far.

Since I’ve only been doing the P90X workouts for just over a week I don’t have any “before and after” pictures for you but I can tell you what I’ve experienced and what I’m feeling.

First off, the DVD’s and pull up bar and bands and everything else I ordered showed up much faster than I expected. Some people had complained about how long it took them to get their P90X DVD’s but I received my P90X equipment quickly. Also, most people who had to wait a long time ordered from Amazon.com, I went directly to the P90X dealer, Beach Body to order my stuff.

After doing the first few P90X DVD’s I can definitely understand why a lot of people suggest going slow at first and not going all out at the beginning. I’m in ok shape from running and the occasional tennis lesson with friends, but I actually got tired during the warm up on the first DVD. I laughed out loud to myself when Tony, the P90X “instructor,” made a joke about being tired during the warm up.

I’m pretty sore today from the workouts, but not so sore that I can’t do anything. That’s a good sign to me that the P90X workouts are doing what they’re supposed to be doing. I’ve also been following the diet/meal guide and using the recovery drink that P90X offers. I’ve had a lot more energy in general now that I’ve improved my diet. I used to think that it didn’t matter what I ate as long as I ran or “worked” it off. I was wrong. I’m glad I’ve decided to follow the P90X meal plan, I feel better already.

I’m also very happy with the quality of the exercise equipment I got from P90X. The pull up bar is much better than my girlfriends husbands pull up bar that he got at Dick’s Sporting Goods. I’ve also been very impressed with the power bands I got. I wasn’t sure if the P90X power bands would do as much as regular dumbbells but the burn in my arms says they’re working just fine.

One thing to note, I noticed that the pull up bar was leaving marks on the door frame after I was using it so I went online and asked some of the people in the P90X community if they had the same problem with the pull up bar. A few people had the same issue and they gave me some great solutions. I ended up wrapping and taping an old “terry towel” to each side of the pull up bar and that completely eliminated the marks and scuffs on my door frame. So if that’s been a problem for you, now you have an easy solution.

Overall the P90X workouts have been everything I hoped they would be. After doing the workouts and doing the meal plan I can definitely see why the reviews and pictures of P90X users are so impressive and inspiring. I’m very glad I decided to go with P90X over other home workout programs. I feel like P90X will be a very positive lifestyle upgrade for me that I can continue to use even after my 90-day transformation.

If you’re a woman looking to improve your health and fitness for whatever reason, I would personally recommend using P90X. I love that you get to go at your own pace and skill level and the results are still so amazing.
